Job Description:
This Commonwealth Government Department is currently seeking an APS 5 level Service Assurance Officer to join their Melbourne team on an initial contract through to June 30 this year with the possibility of further extension.
This role will see you responsible for complex assessments, analysis and investigations related to quality outcomes of funded provider and ensuring that incoming queries are effectively captured and actioned.
We are seeking someone with the following skills, experiences and abilities:
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and research skills, including the ability to critically examine and evaluate information and data in making sound assessments and evidence-based decisions and recommendations
- Ability to conduct assessments and determine eligibility for payments or services in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural frameworks
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain key stakeholder relationships; contribute to the preparation of a variety of correspondence ; and develop and maintain reports
- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to use , or quickly learn to use, a range of corporate information technology systems and databases to interrogate, extract and record information and data
- Ability to plan and organise own workload and to contribute positively and effectively in a team, including the ability to maintain productivity and meet deadlines in pressured and changing environments
It would be highly desirable if applicants had a background in social welfare and/or community development.
