Job Description:

Organisation: Federal Government.
Estimated Contract Start: ASAP.
Initial Contract Length: Until 30 June 2022.
Contract Extensions: Possible ongoing extensions.
Essential Requirement: A Government Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Remuneration: $44.28/hour excl. super.
  
Overview:
With over 800 staff and contractors across Australia, this major Federal Government department plays a critical role in designing, selecting, establishing and managing the administration of finances across the Australian Government.
  
About the Position:
The Helpdesk Team provides business support services to a range of stakeholders. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to correctly follow standard procedures consistently, high-level computer skills and capable of learning new systems. Helpdesk operators are responsible for providing first level support across a number of support lines.
  
The key business deliverables include:
• Responding to telephone and email requests from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Answer questions and enquiries, troubleshooting enquiries and providing clients with information and resolutions.
• Conducting initial investigation on matters and escalating enquiries to a team leader and other enabling areas for further assistance when the issue cannot be resolved during the first point of contact.
• Processing system access requests.
