Assistant Financial Analyst

Join our client as their new Assistant Financial Analyst! If you are an analytical thinker with a passion for financial management, we have an exciting opportunity for you. As the Assistant Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis support to the organisation. 

Location: Logan Central, QLD
Rate: $48.03 per hour + Super
Contract Length: ASAP - End August 2024

Role Description:

• Support the organisation through the preparation of key financial deliverables, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with internal clients, executive management, and stakeholders to provide valuable financial insights.
• Identify and implement business improvement opportunities to enhance financial systems and procedures.

Preferred Requirements:

• Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a medium to large organisation, with a degree qualification in Business or Accountancy.
• Demonstrated ability to present technical costing and accounting concepts effectively, aiding the decision-making process.
• Expertise in research, analytical skills, and advanced Excel proficiency to drive key business initiatives.
• Proven capability to build strong professional relationships, work cohesively in a team environment, and make reliable decisions within allocated responsibilities.
• A self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all organisational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree qualification in Business or Accountancy.
• Experience in Local Government accounting and financial analysis.
• Relevant certifications in financial analysis or management accounting.
