Rate:
$36.00 to 48.03 per hour + Super
Contract Length:

Logan City Council is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join the team. If you are passionate about making a positive impact within the community and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will be responsible for managing an allocated licensing, inspection, and investigation caseload, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation. You will also play a key role in investigating and responding to complaints, customer requests, and incidents, while developing reports and correspondence related to licensing and inspections.

By working closely with our Environmental Health Team Leaders and Services Coordinator, you will have the chance to set performance standards and engage in ongoing feedback to enhance your capabilities within Council.

Key Highlights:

Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure delivery of allocated workload within time, budget, and quality standards
  • Develop reports and correspondence in line with required standards and timeframes
  • Contribute to planning and delivering change or continuous improvement projects
  • Agree on performance standards and mutual expectations with team leaders
  • Give and receive regular feedback to improve performance
Preferred Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental health and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree qualification in the field of Environmental Health recognized for eligibility for Membership of Environmental Health Australia
