Our client, a respected civil construction company based in Northern Gold Coast, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join their team. This is a hands‑on role suited to an individual who enjoys variety across bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance, and supporting multiple business entities.
You’ll work closely with the business owner and external accountants to ensure accurate financial management and high‑quality reporting across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare monthly and annual bookkeeping for multiple business entities
- Complete management accounting, including reports for banking/borrowing requirements
- Run regular MYOB reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and lodge BAS (FBT and tax returns handled externally)
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Perform all bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Raise monthly rent invoices for associated property entities
- Liaise with external accountants to support financial statements and compliance
- Undertake MYOB data entry and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with project reporting and provide financial insights to support operations
Skills & Experience - Accounting qualifications (degree required; CPA highly regarded)
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in MYOB
- Experience across AP/AR, BAS, reconciliations, and management accounts
- Ability to manage multi‑entity bookkeeping
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working across both transactional tasks and higher‑level financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with owners, teams, and external accountants
