Excavator Operator

We are currently seeking 2 x experienced Plant Operators/Labourers to join a piling project located in Burleigh Heads. This is a hands-on role supporting piling operations, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork. Candidates will work under the guidance of an experienced on-site Supervisor and alongside a skilled piling crew.

Key Responsibilities

• General labouring duties on site
• Assisting with piling rig operations
• Stockpiling spoil and loading out trucks
• Installing pile cages
• Operating plant and equipment in close proximity to rigs, other machinery, and heritage-listed structures
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings
• Using laser levels for accurate measurements

Required Skills & Tickets

• Concrete pump experience (preferred) or general concreting/civil construction experience with willingness to learn
• Excavator ticket – must demonstrate strong control and confidence operating in tight spaces and around expensive plant, rigs and heritage listed buildings.
• Dogman ticket – for lifting pile cages and directing a C6 Crawler Crane

Desirable Tickets (Nice to Have)

• EWP (Elevated Work Platform)
• Rigging

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous piling experience is highly regarded
• Alternatively, candidates with solid civil construction backgrounds and a proactive, safety-first attitude will be considered
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and reliability

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm (with potential for Saturday work, 6 hours)
