Mainframe Security Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Security Consultant to support a significant security uplift program. This role is ideal for a specialist with deep expertise in zMFA, RACF and ACF2 who can drive secure, reliable and compliant authentication and authorisation environments within a complex mainframe environment.
About the RoleYou’ll play a key part in configuring and optimising mainframe security controls, supporting user onboarding for multi-factor authentication, and performing detailed system testing and environment health checks. Working closely with internal technical teams, you’ll ensure smooth deployment and integration of all security components.
Key Responsibilities - Configure and optimise mainframe security components including zMFA, RACF and ACF2.
- Perform system testing, validation and documentation of implemented security changes.
- Support user onboarding activities for multi-factor authentication.
- Conduct health checks and recommend remediation/improvement actions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- 15+ years of mainframe experience.
- Advanced expertise in zMFA, RACF and ACF2.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end zMFA deployment projects.
- Minimum Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Duration: February 2026 – December 2026 (8 months)
- Location: Sydney (onsite + remote hybrid)
